last I chacked DC required licensing of the individual language
parsers.  Agree leonardo does too.  (for read anyway)

if this has changed then that is excellent news.

Hmm. Was the original question for FPGA or ASIC?  that tends to skew 
the 'only synthesis tool' numbers a touch. 

how about simulators too,  (as an extension of the question) 
I don't know any simulators that are language neutral
without paying more for the provelidge.   
Which is probably pretty reasonable. Its more work.
