Re: [oc] ALDEC Vs. ModelSIM (VHDL Simulator)



I would agree with Paul.  I have used both tools and the Aldec is easier to
use, better graphically, allows easy design, links with synthesis and fitter
tools, etc. etc. etc.   As for simulation speed, I have not made a direct
comparison between the 2 for speed but they seem very comparable.  Both
simulators handle mixed designs (verilog and vhdl).  My preference is Aldec
for the reasons above, not to mention the much lower cost.

I am no way affiliated with either company... just my preference stated
here.
