have you done a computer search(search for the IP address to) from FIND on
the start menu sometimes the other computer "is there" but Network
Neighborhood wont show it.
Also, this one got me for about 2 hours (I felt soooooo stupid)are you
running any kind of personal firewall on the windows machine?

I know I had the same problem but its been sooo long sense I had it on my
machine I cant remember what I did. SORRY

Well connecting from the laptop isn't the problem, from the linux
running on the laptop I can easily connect to the desktop, it's the
other way araound that is causing my a headacke :( [Connecting
form the desktop running win98 to the laptop]
