They might be "software modems" that do almost everything in the windows
driver. Check if Windows 95 is required. You should be able to use them
with linux if you can send data to the tty devices:
echo "some meaningles data" > /dev/ttyX
Mulinux is not the best distribution to debug hardware. Try a real
distribution, read the man page for setserial and post a detailed output
(perhaps setserial -v).
