There has been terrorist activity in lots of corners of the world
for _years_ now. The English or Spanish people still have trouble
with it, almost every third or fourth week. France still shows the
signs, your home country still shows the signs (from Brigade Rosa
or certain Sicilian families/ clans).
Granted, the WTC is somewhat larger in scale.
However, it's difficulty to understand that terror attacks in the
US differ from terror attacks anywhere in this world. Victims' faces
show the very same desperation and pain and mourning all over the
world.
