Hello Pat,
the subnetmask divides the IP-address in a network-part and a computer-part. So you
can either do it in the īnormalī form (255.255.255.0 - meaning the first 3 byte of
the IP-address belonging to the network and the last one to the computer) or in
short form for example 192.168.2.101/24 meaning just the same.
