I have used mpg123 on a 486/33 with 12megs of ram to play a 192kbit.
I had to down sample 4 times ( -4 ) and play in mono to get it to play.
It sounds great!..
#mpg123 -4 -m file.mp3
This worked with mpg123 version 0.59, there is also a special version for
486's (Ihave the 486 version if you want it)
