That is a leading question... it's not 'bash'. 'bash' is a different shell,
"The GNU Bourne Again SHell", common in big Linux distros, but not in muLinux
because it takes up too much room on a floppy. It is possible to install
'bash' in mu though.

mu's shell is an old version of 'ash', or "Almquist's Shell" after its author
Kenneth Almquist. While 'ash' is not as fancy as 'bash', it is smaller and
faster. Finding out more about 'ash' can be difficult.

Unfortunately, not all of the features described in this 'man page' apply to
the 'ash' that's in mu. Beware: it also includes confusing typos, for
example:
The only special parameter than can be made local is ``-''. Making ``-'' local
any shell options that are changed via the set command inside the function to
be restored to their original values when the function returns.
Sadly, nobody seems to be maintaining this 'man page'. It's better than
nothing though.
