('binary' encoding is not supported, stored as-is) Try filling in the io and IRQ parameters when doing the setup with "" rather than the '' as suggested in the setup text.......I experienced the same problem today using a 3c509b card.........replaced '' with "" and it works just fine now.
the "" represents an empty string.
