I have been using Monkey for several years and am quite pleased with it.
I would have given this URL you posted but I haven't been there in quite some
time, and couldn't remember it. 8^P
Anyways the compiler and source code make monkey very useful to a person
wanting to just dabble in Linux at anything more than a "user" level using
UMSDOS. *grin*................Boy, those were the days.
Have successfully compiled "micq" and numerous other programs to run under
muLinux with this compiler, although as with all GPL??? stuff your mileage may
vary.
BTW: correct URL is
"http://metalab.unc.edu/pub/linux/distributions/monkey/"
mostly just a front door to the URL you listed though:)
