How to reach the University of Twente from Schiphol Airport:

By Car:
        Follow the signs to the airport exit and take the A4 to 
		Amsterdam, this will then become the A10 (rondwev Zuid) 
		continue on the A10 to Amersfoort, and then take the A1 
		until you reach the A35 to Enschedede and follow the 
		signs towards "Universiteit".
		 
By Plane: 
There are three options:
		(a)  Fly to Schiphol Airport, then by train 
			 (approximately 2.5 hours*);
		(b)  Fly to Schiphol Airport, then take a small plane 
			 to Enschede (Luchthaven Twente).  There are five 
			 regular flights per day.  In Luchthaven Twente, 
			 take a taxi to the University or your hotel (less 
			 than a ten-minute ride);  or
		(c)  Fly to Muenster/Osnabrueck, Germany and rent a car.  
			 It will take approximately 45 minutes to drive 
			 to the University.  Please note, this airport cannot be 
			 easily reached by public transport. 

By Train (the station is located at Schiphol Airport, just below
the entrance hall of the airport - look for "NS" in a special 
symbol):

		When purchasing your train ticket you can also purchase a 
		"trein-taxi ticket" if you wish to take a shared taxi when 
		you reach your destination.  They cost Dfl6,- per person, 
		and are very easy and comfortable.

		If you plan on using the bus on a regular basis, you are 
		advised to purchase a 45 strip National strippenkaart 
		(approx 30 guilders, and can be used on all buses in the 
		Netherlands).  If you use the buses occasionally, you should 
		purchase a 15 strip National strippenkaart.

		Take the train to Hengelo.  There are direct trains from 
		Rotterdam, Schiphol*, Amsterdam, Utrecht (twice an hour), 
		and also Osnabrueck and Hannover/Berlin (once every two hours)

		From Hengelo, take either bus 51 (departs every half-hour at 
		03 and 33) to the University, a taxi, or buy a shared taxi 
		ticket (see above re "trein-taxi")

*Train departure times are every hour half from 06:57 to the
last train at 22:28.  Fares are: 1st class Dfl 58.50; 2nd class 
Dfl 39.00.
