[usb] USB 1.1 PHY using as usbrepeater

DO anybody have more experiance?
Using two USB 1.1 PHY and some additional logic will this
be succesfull to realize a USB repeater or will there be
timing problems so it is necessary to use a USB hub logic.
If this is so is there anx free USB hub core?
What do the selled repeater cables do? But I can't use this
because a want to add additional features.
