5nS non-volatile memory! and you think those SRAM's were expensive.

Don't waste your time with EPROM, just use flash - get your design done.
You have spent enough time discussing it on the opencores mailing list.

Also remeber, reducing the cost of you design is not as simple as reducing
the
cost of components.
