Log In: Authorization Access Levels
Three levels are provided
to prevent unauthorized access to array configuration:
Information: View Only, access to the Array Information
category; can log in to check array status and event messages
Maintenance: access to the Array Information
and Maintenance categories; allowed to perform array maintenance
opertions
Configuration: access to all configuration categories including
Array Information, Maintenance, and Configuration;
all configuration options, e.g, to create or delete an existing array
Except for “Information,” to access an array using the authorization
of the other two protection levels,
Configuration (root) and Maintenance, requires
no password. The Information access requires a password. The
default is "1234." Information users can monitor
array status and view event messages. A Maintenance user can perform maintenance
jobs onto configured arrays, and a Configuration user has full access rights
to create, modify, or delete array configurations.
Except for the Information login, the manager comes with no default password.
After gaining control, create a password for the Configuration and Maintenance
logins to provide security to the managed disk arrays.
