I think it's the matter of the 2.0 kernel not supporting your newer up to date software.. mulinux is designed for > 200 mhz machines with smaller older hd's, etc
the kernel prolly hates your HD and gets confused... if all else fails.. install an old HD or make a small partition for mu.
