Hi
I recently bought a computer the config is as
follows
Celeron 500
64mb RAM
40G HDD Samsung
52x ASUS CD ROM Drive
i810 chipset with SoundMAX onboard sound card
Win98 SE loaded
This is in exchange of my old P100 16mb RAM which use
to run mu successfully
Problem:
When I run boot.bat on my new system through mu
It proceeds upto the stage of CD Rom and HDD
detection. It also detects the HDD and then hangs with
"General protection fault 0000 and alist of error
messages. This happens when I boot from safe mode dos
prompt.
When I run boot.bat from command prompt only the error
messages keep scrolling across the screen
continuously.
I have already tried zipslack v 8.0 on this machine
and it works fine.
Also I have slackware 8.0 installed as UMSDOS and it
is working fine with KDE.This uses Kernel 2.2.19
Kindly help me in loading mu on my new computer
