[mu setup] recreating mulinux?

It would seem to me that - with a clear enough document - the experience of
packaging mulinux (or seul tiny linux) could be used as a procedure for
creating similar packages with newer kernels. This would allow people with a
desire for tinyness to access the sites of other distributions, and
optimally select a small number of packages. Slackware would seem to be
particularly good for this.

Is there a document somewhere that describes the bare minimum required to
get a workstation running on a tcpip network such that it can then install
packages via ftp?
