X cannot destroy the controler, i.e. the video cards, but you can
burn your monitor. This is one of the rare case where a software
can destroy the hardware. In this case, the software manage a true gun,
the electronic beam gun. So, if you are so able to stop the gun on
a single point on the screen, you will destroy.
