Yes I can ping myself OK and as of yet I have not installed any coax cables **everythings earthed**, I'm just getting setup!.
 I can connect via PPP and send , only with 100% (return)packet loss ...
May be a bum driver... I will continue to experiment

  Try to ping to your own muLinux system.
  If you are able to test cards en cable with a dos program or windows, then test it.
  Did you ground one side of your network cables ? (don't ground both sides)
  Do you use the right endcaps ?

    After reading all your emailing over the past week or so I'm almost intimidated to ask after what could be an obvious problem...
     
    Miguel kindly helped me with installing my network card (Tulip), which turned out to be a very simple process..However having done this my PPP seems to have done a bunker. I can connect & ping with 100% loss (Yay)
    Any Ideas
