My proposition for the EXT addon. This is what actually i have added to my ext
addon and still have some space:

nmap (2.30Beta20) with os-fingerprints and rpc files: (aren't we hackers :-D)
cut,diff,find,grep,netstat,patch,zip: basic command line utilities(from suse5.3
or slack 3.0)
smbclient(1.9.18p10), samba_print: really needed to work on M$ networks
syslogd: I need it to see why pppd sometimes does not work, and to
monitor unwanted accesses to my box.
