Hugo,

I think you are remembering the SVGA discussion. What you say applies to SVGA.tgz that is an exception in muLinux related files.
I sugested to change this archive name to SVGA.bz2 to avoid confusion but I suppose Dave Houghton who created the package didn't hear me.
General case is tbz meaning tar.gz.
