If you modify by hand a file controlled by Setup (eg /etc/* ),
you must do "setup -s". In your case, is enough "setup crond store".
The, I suggest:

                # setup crond restart

This kill and restart the daemon. Look in /etc/crontab. There is
a demo using "wave". It work, I'm sure. In a previous release of
muLinux this demo was activated for default and more people
reported annoyment for that!
