I suggest for your machine 3 partition:
1) DOS, for linux boot loader. I know, it's ugly, but actual muLinux
require DOS for start, because I never added LILO to the system, for
historical and safety raisons, bugs, etc. You need of minimum for DOS.
2) an EXT2 partition for muLinux itself
3) a little partition of 8 mega for swap
You can install in UMSDOS, using only the DOS partition, but performances
are worse.
