... I've added 3c59x eth card on muLinux.
This driver is for the 3Com "Vortex" and "Boomerang" series ethercards.
Members of the series include Fast EtherLink 3c590/3c592/3c595/3c597
and the EtherLink XL 3c900 and 3c905 cards
With this big modules (23K) and with "sniffit" binary, on first floppy
remains only 4k free. That's the crude reality.
As Linux taste, muLinux is now almost complete. My hacking collection
is exausted. The project prosecution crash with my hardware limitations:
no laptops, conseguently no PCMCIA support, no FLASH disk, no ....
Can you to make me a present of suitable pretty hardaware ( a collect,
for examp.) ? :))))
Adding binaries and module without a proper "setup" and without any
sort of testing, bang with muLinux philosophy.

Only a developing line I can see at the moment: to transform the
archive MODULES.zip in a true removable floppy addon, but with a
different structure: a simple set of tgz inanimates archives (like Trinux),
maybe in a DOS mountable 1440k floppy, with unusual modules
and big applications as sc (spread-sheet), ssh (secure-shell), etc.
I would like to call this addon EXT (EXTENTION) but, You understand,
floppy's proliferation is similar to nuclear proliferation: defile the
rupestrian nature of muLinux.

Ho aggiunto a muLinux il modulo ethernet 3c59x, il quale supporta molte
schede 3Com di qualita' superiore. E con questo, assieme a sniffit, lo
spazio sul primo floppy si e' praticamente esaurito.
Con l'aggiunta di qualche tool "proibito", come sniffit, mi sembra
che muLinux, all'interno del suo limitato orizzonte, sia praticamente
completo. Non ho idea di cosa possa essere ulteriormente desiderabile,
in un sistema del genere.
Lo spazio per metterci ulteriori trucchi e scripts c'e' e ci sara'
sempre: essendo tutto compresso, questi script non occupano praticamente
spazio. Quel che manca e' la fantasia!
L'unica altra linea di sviluppo che mi viene in mente e' trasformare
DOSTOOLS.zip in un vero addon plug-and-play, come gli altri, e riempirlo
di tgz con altri moduli poco usati, un foglio di calcolo come "sc", "ssh",
e cose del genere.
Il mio problema e' che, non potendo testare hardware che non possiedo,
non ha per me molto senso aggiungere cose come PCMCIA etc, a meno che
di non lasciare il tutto non-configurato (stile Slackware) e buona notte.
