[mu SETUP] Cannot fork! Thinkpad 340

I created the BOOT/ROOT/USR disk and after rebooting I am having some
problems. The first one was solved by adding boot parameter
'floppy=thinkpad' which I saw somewhere for my model. But then I get
something like the following:
/bin/setup: Cannot fork
/bin/setup: Cannot fork
...
...
** First boot detected: Welcome to muLinux **
Asks if I want to save this configuration
After that point I get somemore
INIT: cannot fortk, retry..

and nothing else?!?!

The system is an IBM Thinkpad 340 with 4MB RAM and 120MB disk space with

one FAT16 partition. Monochrome. CPU is 50MHz.

I want to eventually clone it onto the harddrive and create some
swapspace because the 4MB is small.

Any help is greatly appreciated,
Mark Sears
