Please, Karl-Heinz: my dream (common to many Linux users, I believe) is
to control and to keep to MINIMUM (<=1) the number of DOS executable
in muLinux (loadlin.exe, of course). We cannot dispatch around the world
software of this kind, with probable virus in it, etc.
A LINUX ramdisk installer for muLinux is the best solution, flexible and
reliable as mutch we can wish.
I don't understand why You don't like them!
Concering SCSI disks, I'm testing with the scsi kernel distribute with
redhat 3.4 (650K). This is from RedHat README.txt

scsi.s A generic SCSI kernel, with support for most SCSI
controllers that work under Linux. (NOTE: This kernel
wastes a lot of memory, since it contains nearly *all*
of the SCSI drivers. If you know which SCSI controller
your system has, it's *far* better to use the kernel
designed especially for it. But, if you don't know,
then this generic kernel might just work for you.)

Warning: with this kernel you can build the two floppies from this
SCSI machine, but the new muLinux cannot mount SCSI disk anyway!
