This module can be used to determine the mime type of a file. It
tries to implement the freedesktop specification for a shared
MIME database. It comes with a frontend script that can be used
as a file(1) work-alike.

INSTALLATION

To install this module type the following:

   perl Makefile.PL
   make
   make test
   make install

DEPENDENCIES

This module expects the freedesktop mime database to be installed,
it can be obtained from :

  http://www.freedesktop.org/software/shared-mime-info/

This module requires these other modules:

  Carp
  Exporter
  File::Spec
  Pod::Usage

They can be obtained from CPAN.
